SUFFOLK ONE SIXTH FORM COLLEGE Location: Ipswich Client: Suffolk County Council This sixth form college amalgamates a number of sixth form centres within Ipswich into one new build facility for 2,200 pupils. The landscape proposals provided a series of social spaces and external teaching areas linked to a series of internal teaching pods. Within the grounds additional resources include a pond and ecological habitat area as well as an all weather pitch. Raised lawns within resin bound paving create a flowing form to complement the building. The scheme achieved BREEAM sustainability rating Very Good. Best Educational Building – East Anglia Building Excellence Awards 2011
